HIGHLIGHTS
IAERE2020
On 6-7 February 2020 has been held our Eighth Annual Conference in Brescia. A great success in terms of submission (135) and in participation (142).
The material produced within the conference (papers, presentations and photos) will soon be available in the conference website.

IAERE Young Environmental Economist Award
This year the Association is announcing the fifth edition of the IAERE Young Environmental Economist Award, a recognition given to the best paper presented by a young economist at the Annual Conference.
The award has been assigned ex-equo to:
-
Isabel Hovdahl, from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (Norway), with the paper: “Temperature variation and mortality”
- Giulia Chersoni, from the University of Turin (Italy), with the paper: “An agent-based model of retrofit diffusion: a behavioral economic approach"

Best Poster Award
The best poster presented at the Conference has been recognized with the Best Poster Award.
The winner was Benedetta Falsetti (Politecnico di Torino) with the poster "Agricultural water consumption and crop prices". Co-author(s): Francesco Laio, Luca Ridolfi, Elena Vallino.

IAERE Secretary General
As announced during the General Assembly of Members held in Brescia, from the 1st of March our Association has a new Secretary General.
The Council has just nominated Ilenia Gaia Romani.
We welcome Ilenia and wish her much success in this new position.
At the same time, we thank Martina for the excellent work she has done and for the role she has played during all these years for the success and the growth of our Association.
In addition, as Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei agrees to host the Secretariat, the new legal address is Corso Magenta 63 in Milan.

The Ninth Annual Conference will be held in Cagliari on 22-24 April 2021.
The chair of the programme committee and the local organizers are Elisabetta Strazzera and Simone Borghesi.
